With yesterday’s holiday in mind, this week we’re taking a look at two iconic American cities: Boston and Philadelphia. Gen Y renters might want to consider a move to either place, as both made the list of Forbes top cities for recent college grads for their abundance of health care, pharmaceutical, and tech jobs. But is that enough to outweigh the high rental costs? Boston now has some of the highest rents in the country, with the average one bedroom at $1814. In secondary market Philadelphia, rents are much lower at $1070 on average. Here’s a look at what’s renting this week in the middle of those two price points:
